Yeah!! UPS called yesterday to let us know they're dropping off Jared's school laptop. My laptop has Vista. For some reason the internal mic doesn't pick up. It also won't recognize an external mic, so this school laptop is really going to help.
Jared worked very hard yesterday to try to get on track. Wednesday is our busiest day, so I hope Jared will be able to keep up.

I Need To Find Time To Do This
Wow. High School is totally different than anything Jared has done before with schooling. The longer classes plus the homework on top of it is getting way too much to handle. I told my husband I'm going to give this until the end of the month. The curriculum is wonderful, but it's very challenging for Jared with an IEP. I hope we find things smoothing out by the end of September.

First Day of Actual Classes
Today was Jared's first day of actual classes. Last week was orientation and such.
We still have only received a Spanish/English dictionary. That's it. I was really hoping we'd get something by now.
Anyway, the online school with K12 was not operating properly. It took us quite a while to even be able to log into K12. Jared had reading to do for World History. The pages would not load. A lot of time was wasted just sitting around. Jared still has not completed his daily required reading for History or the quiz. I am highly disappointed with K12 so far this school year between their lack of textbooks and supplies to students and their poorly functioning website during school hours. I hope things get straightened out shortly.
PAVCS has been great. The teachers are wonderful while the families are waiting for supplies.
Jared said today was a great day.. even though he's not done with the required History due to K12. Sigh.
