October

Well, school has been interesting to say the least. Jared seems to be doing well in his classes, except Spanish. I'm hoping by some miracle that things will work out well for him. Jared is very, very upset at the thought of failing a class. The pace is way too fast for him.

Everything else is fine. Don started at his new job, which was actually his old job. Don worked at one job since he was 18. In 2000 he found out the site was closing. Everything changed for us. Don got another job, but it was quite a distance away, longer hours and less pay. After several years with this second job, Don found out his old job site was reopening under new owners. Don was hired back. Now he's closer to home. The work hours are less. He doesn't have to travel as far. Don seems content.

We're decorating for fall. Jared's worried about the stray cat that hangs out on our deck. We're not sure what to do with her in the winter. She's so nice.

Jared's birthday is on October 14th. We allowed him to purchase some Gundam models from a Japanese company we've ordered from before. He's going to go out to eat for his birthday and wants a pumpkin pie instead of birthday cake.
